Pike Place Caern

The Pike Place Caern is a Caern of Unity, and it rests in the Pike Place Market, specifically at the Fish Market at the corner of First and Pike. There is no controlling Elder at the caern, but instead the Children of Gaia manage it democratically (some say anarchically) in collaboration with local Corax and a few Bonegnawers, Glasswalkers, and others.

Charles Grandian is a notable figure, but many werewolves and mages can be found in the Market at any time of day or night. No one is barred from entering the caern – not even humans, vampires, Wraiths, or Eastern Kindred. Only Banes and others overtly in the service of the Wyrm are forbidden (and will be attacked on sight). Due to the power of the caern, it is actively difficult to pick a fight with another supernatural there, and peaceful agreements made are binding – difficult if not impossible to break.

Laura Newman often visits the caern when she is in town. Dr. Ava Hamilton can often be found sipping coffee in the Starbucks down the block. Left Bank Books is particularly popular with the Children of Gaia, who often hold readings there (and own the store). A number of famous Wraiths live in the area, among them “Princess” Angeline (Kikisoblu of the Coast Salish / Duwamish people, daughter of Chief Seattle), Arthur Goodwin (former Market Director and nephew of the original developer), and the “Fat Lady Barber,” but they rarely appear.
